Welcome to Nusa Travelling

Langkawi

With sun-drenched beaches, swaying palm trees and laidback locals, Langkawi is a tropical paradise. The archipelago is made up of 99 islands, dominated by Pulau Langkawi. Locals tout Langkawi as the Jewel of Kedah and it's easy to see why. Spend your day beach hopping, exploring the lush jungle interior and indulging in some of the freshest seafood in South East Asia.

Things to Do

By far, one of Langkawi's biggest attractions is its flourishing underwater ecosystem. No trip is complete without swimming amongst the rainbow corals, tropical fish and gliding sea turtles of Pulau Payar Marine Park.

There's plenty to do on Pulau Langkawi, which is anchored by the main town of Kuah. Tick off cultural sights like Eagle Square, anchored by a 12-metre-tall eagle statue. For sweeping views of the city, ride the Langkawi Cable Car to the top of Mt. Machinchang, where you can access the 125 metre long Sky Bridge.

With 99 islands to explore, there are endless opportunities to beach hop. Half or full day island cruises are one of the best ways to explore Langkawi, with most tours offering lunch, drinks and snorkelling equipment.

Langkawi's beaches are stunning, but getting off the sand is all part of the fun. Rent a car or scooter and head inland to explore jungle hiking trails, tumbling waterfalls and traditional villages.

Getting Around

Most travellers arrive in Kuah by ferry, which is considered the gateway to Langkawi. The main island is well linked by roads, which means renting a car, motorbike or scooter is one of the best ways to get around. When it comes to island hopping, you have the option of signing up for a scenic boat trip or splurging on a private charter.
